Blackburn Central High School has formed a partnership with the IMO Sports Academy. The IMO Sports Academy in partnership with BCHS aims to provide a window of opportunity to young people in sports. The objective is that by working together young people can gain sport related accredited qualifications and give the them a chance to take part in competitive sports locally and nationally.

BCHS with the IMO say they would like to integrate communities through sports and social inclusion.

The following sports have been or are ready to kick off: Football coaching with IMO and BRFC football academy staff started on 31 May at BCHS. Around 30 ladies take part in Netball participate each week. Archery will be starting soon at BCHS with qualified coaches.
