POLICE officers and Community Road Watch volunteers in Billington caught five people speeding through the Ribble Valley village yesterday.
The speed checks were being carried out in Whalley Road from 9am to 10am.
Another motorist was caught not wearing a seat belt.
The check is part of an on-going road watch scheme which involves officers monitoring various areas throughout the borough.
A further 10 vehicles have been caught speeding and four caught wearing no seat belt when the road was last monitored on March 31.
