THE Labour Party has announced it would appoint a regional Minister for the North West to support its city region growth agenda.
If the party wins the next election, a minister would be appointed for each region of the UK, and their job would include advising ministers on the impact of local and regional policy and bringing existing structures and the private sector together to encourage investment Michael Dugher, Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office, said: “Labour is pledging to introduce regional ministers to put the voice of the English regions at the heart of Labour decision-making.”
