A SUCCESSFUL Earby spring bulb show served as a fitting tribute to former organiser Peter Bullock.
Mr Bullock, who died earlier this month, was a keen botanist and was the former chairman of the Earby and District Gardeners Society, which hosts the show at the New Road Community Centre.
Show president David Hartley, who was Mr Bullock’s friend and colleague, said: “All in all the show was very successful and was a fitting tribute to Peter. We had more exhibitors and more exhibits than in recent years.
“The weather was a contributing factor, as the mild conditions provided optimum timing for bulbs to grow.
“Last year we had to cancel the show because there was snow on the ground.”
