BLACKBURN Harriers aces Shaun Livesey and Christopher Davies led East Lancashire’s charge in Sunday’s Trimpell 20 at Ayre Sports Centre in Lancaster.

Livesey was 12th overall and the third-fastest MV40 in two hours, six minutes and 43 seconds followed in 14th by clubmate Davies in 2hours, 7mins 28secs.

There were also top-100 finishes for Clayton-le-Moors Harriers’ Paul Hesketh, who was 27th in 2hours, 11mins 39secs, and Rossendale Harriers’ Tristan Kent, who was 60th in 2hours, 18mins 47secs.

Duncan Weisters (121st in 2hours, 34mins 14secs), Caroline Weisters (228th in 2hours, 48mins 33secs), Gavin Shaw (237th in 2hours, 49mins 51secs) and Phil White (403rd in 3hours, 15mins 8secs) competed for Blackburn Road Runners.

Four Trawden AC members took part, Adam Howard (194th in 2hours, 43mins 52secs), Simon Lister (265th in 2hours, 54mins 4secs), Sandra Campbell (273rd in 2hours, 54mins 50secs) and Chris Campbell (274th in 2hours, 54mins 51secs).

There were two Chorley Athletic and Triathlon Club members, Nicola Watson (189th in 2hours, 43mins 31secs) and Alison Parkinson (373rd in 3hours, 8mins 9secs), and two Darwen Dashers members, Carol Butterworth (209th in 2hours, 46mins 4secs) and Sarah Roberts (351st in 3hours, 5mins 30secs), in action.

There was also a 20-strong turnout from Accrington Road Runners.

They were spearheaded by Rebecca Winter, who passed the post in 145th in 2hours, 38mins 48secs.

She was followed by Craig Daniels (195th in 2hours, 43mins 53secs), Michele Baker (224th in 2hours, 48mins 21secs), Adrian Leach (227th in 2hours, 48mins 30secs), Samantha Hughes (236th in 2hours, 49mins 46secs), Michael Hartley (256th in 2hours, 53mins 7secs), Julie Morgan (275th in 2hours, 55mins 3secs), Sandy George (276th in 2hours, 55mins 6secs), Denise Clarke (278th in 2hours, 55mins 15secs) who all came home inside the top 300.

There were plenty more Accrington finishers as Richard Smart came home 319th in 3hours 12secs followed by Alan Tattersall (409th in 3hours, 16mins 32secs), Ken Barton (410th in 3hours, 16mins 32secs), Jeffrey Denton (420th in 3hours, 20mins 3secs), Nicola Ward (430th in 3hours, 22mins 53secs), Melanie Owen (435th in 3hours, 24mins 38secs), Amanda McKinnell (436th in 3hours, 25mins 9secs), Maria McDonald-Leach (440th in 3hours, 25mins 39secs), Alison Wolstenholme (464th in 3hours, 43mins 40secs), Robert Ward (471st in 3hours, 51mins 50secs) and Rebecca Hemingway (472nd in 3hours, 51mins 50secs).

Kaylie Panaro was the sole Blackburn Harriers female runner on show, finishing 285th in 2hours, 56mins 22secs, while Derrick Marsh of Clayton-le-Moors Harriers was 168th in 2hours, 41mins 39secs.
