MORE than 900 Worsthorne residents were left without electricity yesterday, when an underground cable was accidentally damaged.
A United Utilities spokesperson said: "A third party individual dug into the cable, damaging it, which caused the power cut at 3.05pm.
"We were able to restore power to the majority of houses less than an hour later.
"We apologise to those who were affected."
