ST Augustine's RC High School pupils have proved they are generous 'kids' by raising money to buy a herd of goats for Third World families.
Pupils at the Billington school decided against giving each other gifts and instead donated the money they would have spent to Catholic aid agency CAFOD's World Gifts project.
The money raised is enough to buy a herd of 88 goats or 30 cows.
Teachers at the school are also raising funds to help train teachers in Third World countries.
