Crew called to Edenfield kitchen
A DISHWASHER and a section of kitchen worktop were destroyed following a house fire in Edenfield.
The house, in Moorlands View, suffered smoke damage in the blaze, which started at around 11.35pm on Monday.
Firefighters from Rawtenstall used hose reels, breathing apparatus and lighting units to tackle the fire, and ventilation units to help clear the smoke.
The kitchen suffered severe smoke damage, a fire service spokesman said, and the rest of the home suffered light smoke damage.
