HYNDBURN MP Graham Jones challenged health secretary Jeremy Hunt over the proposed closure of Accrington’s overspending walk-in centre.
Speaking in the House of Commons, Mr Jones said: “Will he explain how 36,000 people going to the overstretched Royal Blackburn Hospital A&E will help the situation there?”
Mr Hunt did not answer the question, but blamed Labour for its ‘ham-fisted policy of opening walk-in centres everywhere’ for the review.
