THE North West Sound Archive is hosting a First World War-themed evening at Clitheroe Castle on Thursday, November 14.

The evening, which is entitled ‘Sounds of War’ will include personal memories of the conflict from the organisation’s archive.

There will also be films shown from North West Film Archive and objects from Lancashire Museums.

As part of the event, collections will also be on display from Lancashire Archives, Clitheroe Library and Lancashire Community Heritage.

A First World War themed meal will also be served at 7pm in the Atrium Cafe next to the castle.

Andrew Schofield, from the North West Sound Archive, said: “The evening will be packed with things to do and see.

“Although the evening starts at 6pm, people can drop in at any time but they will have to be there at 7pm for the meal.
