TODAY the Lancashire Telegraph launches a fantastic competition for children to design a Christmas card.

The fabulous first prize is a £100 shopping voucher. Two runners up will each win £25 vouchers.

The competition is open to children aged from four to 11 years old.

Whether it is a festive winter scene with robins and snowmen or a brightly-coloured Santa with reindeer; we want to see all your wonderful designs.

To enter all you need to do is draw a design for the front of your card on a vertical sheet of A4 paper.

Your card can be made using paints, coloured pencils or felt tip pens. Please do not glue anything to the sheet, or add glitter.

Once you have finished your card, fill in the details on the form, below right, and send it to Design A Christmas Card Competition, Editorial Department, Lancashire Telegraph, High Street, Blackburn, BB1 1HT.

The closing date for entries is November 1.

Many of the cards will be printed in a special supplement in the Telegraph on Friday, November 15, when readers will be able to vote for their favourite designs by text or by phone. The usual Newsquest rules will apply and these can be viewed online at lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/terms.

The winners will be announced on Friday, November 29.
