A LOUT who flouted a suspended jail term imposed after a Colne pub brawl by getting in trouble again, kept his freedom.
Shane Hammerton, 20, had been given a five-month suspended term with 100 hours unpaid work in June last year after he, his mother, his brother and two others were involved in violence at the Jolly Hatters.
Burnley Crown Court was told how the two-part melee led to three people being attacked and a couple were said to have been injured.
Hammerton, of Oak Street, Colne, had admitted affray on November 6, 2010. He had previous convictions.
He was back in court after he had been convicted of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in breach of the sentence by Pennine magistrates.
He had become involved with others causing trouble as a man was walking home on Oak Street. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and unpaid work.
