A DAD who beat up the mother of his son and turned on a friend, was spared jail.
Burnley Crown Court heard how Alec Cunningham, 29, punched his ex repeatedly in the face and knocked her to the floor as she was holding a child.
The infant was injured when their head struck the floor.
Cunningham told his terrified victim: “I will kick your teeth out. No-one else will have you.”
Cunningham later set about and jumped on Michael Graham, who had tried to calm everything down, and hit him in the outburst, on July 5.
The defendant, of Hope Street, Worsthorne, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm and two counts of common assault and had been committed for sentence by magistrates.
He was given six months behind bars, suspended for two years, with supervision and must attend the Building Better Relationships Requirement. Recorder John Jones, QC, also made a two-year restraining order.
