A COMPANY has secured a second important link-up with a leading player in the nuclear industry.

Simonstone-based Fort Vale has been named as a preferred supplier of machined parts to Nuclear Engineering Services Limited (NES). The parts will be used in nuclear decommissioning, defence and possibly on nuclear new builds, such as power stations.

Head of nuclear for Fort Vale Peter Staveley said: “Fort Vale has been working with NES for the past three years and during this time we have forged a strong working partnership.

“Being awarded the preferred supplier status from NES is a positive recognition of the partnership that all involved have created between the two businesses.

NES supply chain development manager Richard Evans said: “Fort Vale is a perfect example of how the preferred supplier agreements should work.

“Their machining capabilities are truly market-leading and perfectly complement NES’ in-house capabilities.”
