ANDREW Johnson, headteacher at Stonyhurst College in the Ribble Valley, said he believed education secretary Michael Gove’s plan to introduce ‘I Levels’ was a good idea. Mr Johnson said: “If I Levels are rather harder than GCSEs, they will reduce the massive chasm we currently have between GCSE and A level standard. There will be so much more time for teaching and proper learning if examining is limited to a terminal exam.”
