Pendle leisure staff support Sam

GENEROUS staff at Pendle Leisure Trust have raised nearly £1,730 for a poorly East Lancashire youngster – and plan to raise even more.

Sam Shaw, four, from Hoddlesden, near Darwen, has neuroblastoma, an aggressive cancer. Money is required to send him to the US for potentially life-saving treatment.

Sam’s mum Christine worked at the trust’s Colne head office when he was diagnosed. Staff have baked cakes, cooked curries and done sponsored challenges.

Future events include a concert and pool fun day.
