A VOLUNTARY group is hoping to make a difference to the health of their community.
Community task force Mercer 1842, based at Clayton-le-Moors’ Mercer House, is kick-starting a new health initiative.
The not-for-profit group already undertakes a number of community projects and voluntary work.
Now the group is hoping to set up a Health Focus Group.
It is looking for 12 volunteers to form a focus group, to operate from February to the end of March.
The focus group will also discuss how Clayton residents can become better able to manage their physical health, and issues around mental health, such as how to reduce incidents of depression, and the interventions available from external agencies.
