A GROUP dedicated to the conservation of Lancashire’s badgers is in need of volunteers.

Among the many tasks Lancashire Badger Group carries out and requires volunteers for is monitoring setts, a vital procedure in gathering evidence to prosecute criminals.

They also need people to help with protection work, such as sett capping, which is a permanent way of protecting badger homes from diggers.

They also occasionally carry out repairs to setts where they may be causing a problem, or closing them where necessary. People who can provide administrative support are also required.

Lancashire Badger Group is licensed to perform these activities by Natural England. Call 07980 630250 or email enquiries@lancashirebadgergroup.org.uk
