AN investigation has been launched after two masked man burst into a house in Darwen and demanding cash from the owner.
Police said the 25-year-old victim had been sitting in the living room with his girlfriend when he was targeted by thieves on Sunday.
The men, wearing hoodies and masks, demanded cash before stealing a mobile phone and leaving the house on Newton Street, officers said.
Detectives investigating the incident said the victim believes the men targeted the wrong house, shortly before 7pm.
DI Mark Vaughton, of Blackburn CID, said “We are currently trying to piece together the sequence of events leading up to this incident.
“The victim believes these masked men had targeted the wrong house. I appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact police as this sort of incident will not be tolerated.”
