STAR Wars will replace store wars in Blackburn’s Mall shopping centre on Saturday when Darth Vader and his team of aliens come to DVD and Music store That’s Entertainment.
The evil one from another galaxy will not be bidding for universal domination but shaking a bucket as he asks customers to give cash for charity.
With 20 stormtroopers from the 99th Garrison recruited from store staff and fans across the region, he will be leading the charge in a ‘sci-fi’ fundraising day in aid of Dreamflight and pendleside hospice.
Store manager Rachel Maclean said: “Dreamflight is the charity of choice for the garrison whereas I personally want to raise funds for the hospice alongside this as they cared for my brother last year in a battle with a brain tumour and this is my daft way of thanking them.”
It runs from 11am and goes on until 4pm.
