THREE of the self-confessed "dirtiest rock 'n' roll bands around" will perform at this month's Corrupted night in Blackburn, tonight.

Blackburn heroes The Exorsisters will perform alongside Preston's Drag Strip Junkies and Lancaster's Hooker at the monster bash.

"Glam, punk and garage rock are just some of the many labels that have been used by different people to try and describe the Exorsisters," said Dave Bury of Corrupted, who is organising the event along with Mark "Wordy" Worden.

"When it comes to the Sisters' live performance all agree that the band on stage dish out what can only be called pure raw energy."

Drag Strip Junkies will bring an element of trash to the night - the Preston rock band draw influences from fast dirty rock 'n' roll and have played some of the biggest venues in the North West.

Hooker will provide old school sounds complete with radio-friendly hooks and blistering guitar solos with a dark, glam rock swagger.

The night kicks off at 7.30pm and celebrates the return of celebrated glam DJ Stevie Roxx and also features WC Wordy.

A Corrupted spokesman said: "This time we've gone sleazier, with three of the dirtiest rock 'n' roll bands around.

"Let the good times roll for the Corrupted sleazefest."

The Corrupted night is at the Cellar Bar, Blackburn on November 10. Entry is free.
