AN Alzheimer's sufferer prompted a full scale search operation after he went missing in Longridge Fell.
Police and teams from mountain rescue launched a search for the 50-year-old amid fears he may have wandered into the dense woodland of the popular walking route after going missing just before 2pm.
But a Lancashire police spokesman said the man, from Longridge, was found by a member of the public safe and well near Sabden just before 7pm.
