A JUDGE says he is to take time to consider the verdict in the case of a Darwen father fighting to sue local authorities after his daughter died from a drugs overdose.
Melissa Strickson, 13, died in October 2001 after running away from home with three other girls and taking refuge at the home of self-confessed white witch Sally Corkhill, of Sudell Road.
Melissa's father, Victor, who has started a £10,000 legal claim against the police and borough council, claims the authorities failed to give them help in controlling Melissa, who absconded from home more than 50 times.
Mr Justice Goldring sitting in London's High Court said yesterday after hearing all the evidence he would reserve judgement to a later date.
