RESIDENTS across Burnley are being reminded to check their recycling and household waste collections dates over Christmas and New Year.
People who normally have their recycling or household waste collected on a Tuesday or Wednesday will find there’s a change to their usual collection days.
Instead of collections on Tuesday, December 25, there will be a collection on Saturday, December 22, and instead of Wednesday, December 26, there will be a collection on Saturday, December 29.
The collection on Tuesday, January 1, will be put back until Saturday, January 5.
Due to the fact that traditionally more rubbish is generated during the festive period Burnley Council is temporarily relaxing its rules over bags of extra waste until January 15.
