VILLAGERS in Hurstwood are urging people in good voice to join them for a carol service at one of East Lancashire’s most picturesque locations.
Choristers from Hurstwood Church have already toured the hamlet, in sub-zero temperatures, to serenade residents.
Around 25 singers, of all ages, in a record turnout, belted out a series of family favourites.
Church spokesman Steve del Monaco said: “We started a few years ago with just a handful of us and over the years we have grown in numbers.
“It’s all about coming together as friends and having fun, and wishing our neighbours a peaceful and happy Christmas.”
The church is welcoming visitors for its annual carol service, on Sunday at 3pm.
