ACTORS visited Accrington schoolchildren to help them get to grips with the town’s accent for an upcoming production.
Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre is preparing is staging The Accrington Pals, based on the story of the young townsmen who were killed at the Battle of the Somme.
The company took time to listen to Accrington Academy pupils who have been studying the history of the battalion. The drama runs at the Exchange on Saint Ann’s Square Manchester from January 17 to February 16.
