A CONTROVERSIAL 20mph zone in Haslingden is to be reviewed by Lancashire County Council.
Road signs on the stretch of road in Broadway have been targeted by vandals in the past who disagree with the limits put in place.
Highways chiefs at county hall came under fire from some motorists in July when the 20mph zone was created outside Broadway Primary School and Haslingden High School.
At the time LCC said the introduction of the new limit was ‘justified’ and that most drivers were respecting the limit.
However, they have agreed to launch a consultation with a view to amending the current measures and introducing a ‘time limited advisory 20mph speed limit’ outside the schools.
