TALKS have begun to breath life back into a derelict former sheltered housing premises in Waterfoot.
Residents in Rossendale are being given the chance to have their say on the future of Mytholme House, off Burnley Road East, which has stood empty since its closure in 2009.
The council has come up with a range of plans for the town centre site and is giving residents the chance to view three alternative proposals and make comments on them.
Rossendale Lib Dem councillors previously accused the owners of the house, Green Vale Homes, of neglecting the property.
The building is currently boarded up and it has been feared that it could become victim to anti-social be-haviour.
Hilary Brady, Together Housing Group’s head of development, said: “We are keen to discuss our proposed options for the site with the local Waterfoot community, the Waterfoot Forward group and local businesses.”
A summary of the proposals will be placed on to the Green Vale Homes and Rossendale Borough Council’s websites, with the opportunity for people to give feedback by email.
