A BALLET designed for young audiences comes to Manchester’s Palace Theatre at the end of the month.
The English National Ballet and the English National Ballet School will be presenting Coppelia as part of its My First Ballet series.
The show features some of the country’s finest dance prospects and they will wear the sumptuous costumes from English National Ballet’s full production to give audiences the look and feel of a classic ballet but the adapted story and choreography will make it more approachable and fun for younger audiences.
George Williiam, who has produced the ballet, said: “I am tasked with transforming this joyful ballet so that it is engaging to the eyes of children as young as three.”
My First Coppelia, Palace Theatre, Manchester, Saturday, April 26 and SUnday, April 27. Details from 0844 871 3019.
