Semi Finals already! This has felt like the fastest series ever, or is that just me getting older?

Five remaining couples, three male celebrities and two female, all with the final insight. Could we even end up with an all male final?

Jake & Janette Cha Cha C6 D8 L8 B8 T30

Jake does have a good hip action it was just occasionally forced within his Cha Cha this week which caused the routine to become a little stompy and heavy footed in places, he also danced a few heel leads, but a great performance with a perfect Applejack.

Viennese Waltz C7 D8 L8 B8 T31

A very well constructed Viennese Waltz although Jake was a little tight in places, a little softer in his Top Line and the upper body would have reduced this, but another good performance.

Frankie & Kevin Rumba C7 D8 L9 B10 T34

The characterisation of this routine was beautiful, a gorgeous pure Rumba with amazing technique and simplicity on a devoted technician could appreciate it, and I loved it.

Argentine Tango C9 D9 L10 B10 T38

A very dramatic Argentine Tango that was full of power energy and passion, a very well matched couple in their performance with an amazing routine.

Mark & Karen Viennese Waltz L8 D8 L9 B8 T33

I actually thought that their opening was a little ploddy and Mark’s footwork was lacking in heel leads however the second half did seem to improve and Mark created a better flight to the dance.

Rumba C9 D8 L8 B8 T33

I am really in two minds over this performance, It was a beautiful musical interpretation and a very sensual routine, but it was Lyrical with a few Rumba basics thrown in, and as they were both wearing foot undies they could not dance a Rumba Walk pushing the ball of foot, into the floor which then lost hip action.

Simon & Kristina Samba C6 D9 L8 B7 T30

For me this Samba has just secured your place in the final Simon, great controlled technique with strong attack and a good Samba action, it was such a shame you lost your timing on the rolls and the problem with Samba is once you lose it getting it back is even harder due to the change in rhythms. But I loved it and Samba is one of the hardest of the Latin rhythms for a male celebrity.

Foxtrot C9 D10 L10 B9 T38

A beautiful light Foxtrot with great technique, poise and presence, amazing control and Top Line and full of flow, flow quick, quick flow.

Caroline & Pasha Foxtrot C8 D9 L9 B9 T35

A beautiful interpretation of this traditional dance style, there was a couple of little slips from Caroline they may have just been nerves but as a picture it was fine art and beautifully painted.

Salsa C10 D10 L10 B10 T40

Go Caroline Go! A fast focused fluid Salsa full of spice rhythm and shimmies and easily deserving of a full house. Well done guys.

Sunday Results Show

A fabulous Hustle Disco opening from our professional dancers, but with Mark & Karen and Jake & Janette in the dreaded dance off.

Both couples performed better and who ever left at this late stage was going to be devastated, it really was a very close call and you literally could have flipped a coin. Our final four are Caroline & Pasha, Frankie & Kevin, Simon & Kristina and Mark & Karen.
