ACTORS at Oswaldtwistle Players are celebrating after scooping the much-coveted award for best play at the prestigious National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) ceremony.
Their winning production, Mary Barton, was chosen from more than 300 plays produced by 60 local amateur dramatic societies over the last five years, making it a great achievement.
The play was staged in October 2008 and was director Hannah Kidd's directorial debut.
Sophie Fitzpatrick played the title role, and the pair accepted the trophy at a glittering ceremony held at Ewood Park last week.
