YOUNGSTERS took part in an acting workshop in a Pendle park as part of the run-up to a Shakespeare production.

Actors from Say Two Productions and young locals dressed up in full costume outside Marsden Hall, Nelson, on Saturday.

The theatre company, which will soon perform an original take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, was on the look-out for undiscovered talent to use in the production.

Coun Ann Kerrigan and Coun Graham Roach were at the well-attended event promoting the upcoming show. Residents are now being invited to attend the performance of the Shakespearean classic will be free entry.

Say Two Productions performed an outdoor version of Romeo and Juliet last year in Colne.

Additional acting workshops will take place on July 16 at the same location from 7pm to 9pm and July 18 from 2pm to 5pm.

The play will take place at Alkincoats Park, Colne, on July 26.
