The first trailer for the rebooted version of The Mummy is here with a new leading man: Tom Cruise.
The last big-budget take on the tale, in 1999, starred Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, and spawned two sequels as well as spin-offs.
The new film is directed by Alex Kurtzman, also known for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The trailer shows Tom in full action mode and gives glimpses of the film’s ancient princess (played by Sofia Boutella) who looks like she’s about to unleash hell on Mother Earth.
The film also stars British actress Annabelle Wallis, best known for Peaky Blinders, and Oscar winner Russell Crowe.
