Game of Thrones fans have been left chomping at the bit after one of its leading stars has teased them ahead of the upcoming seventh season.
Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in the hit fantasy drama series, posted a series of Tweets about the script, insisting that “nothing will prepare” viewers for what is to come.
She also added that “s*** gets real” in another tweet, made after she finished reading the script herself.
There’s no doubt the next season will be bigger, bolder and darker than ever, if the first six are anything to go by.
This exciting news might even distract keen fans from the fact Game of Thrones is ending after the eighth season.
The show’s broadcaster HBO confirmed the end is nigh for the series, which is based on George RR Martin’s novels.
Another blow to fans is that the seventh season will consist of just seven episodes, instead of the usual 10.
The penultimate season will be broadcast a little later in summer next year. The eighth and final season is expected to follow in 2018.
