Caroline Flack will return to host a new series of dating show Love Island this summer.
The former Strictly Come Dancing champion said she is looking forward to seeing “ridiculously hot people get it on” as a group of singles jet off to a sun-kissed island searching for love.
Stars of the ITV2 show will be in a race against time to couple up, as anyone that stays single will be in danger of leaving the villa and the lucrative cash prize behind.
New features in the villa include an outdoor gym and a re-designed love shack.
Caroline, who presented the last series of The X Factor alongside Olly Murs, said: “There’s no better day than Valentines to announce the return of Love Island! I’m super excited to host series two and start watching all those ridiculously hot people get it on! It’s going be a long hot summer.”
ITV said producers are now on the look out for applicants.
Caroline faced criticism from keyboard warriors over her X Factor presenting skills as well as her weight and appearance.
With the X Factor’s disappointing viewing figures, and a mixed reaction to Caroline and Olly as replacements for former host Dermot O’Leary, speculation has been rife that the presenting duo could be axed.
Olly came under fire for prematurely announcing that contestant Monica Michael had been eliminated.
“I haven’t decided about doing it again yet, but everyone knows you don’t talk about X Factor until later in the year,” she told the Daily Mirror.
