Prince William received a surprise gift for his baby daughter Princess Charlotte – a tiny pair of pink Hunter wellies.
The Duke of Cambridge opened the present from Audi UK’s director Andre Konsbruck after winning a charity game of polo in one of his first public appearances since the Princess of Cambridge was born.
After the Duke opened the gift, he said: “I think George would prefer those.”
Prince William played alongside his brother Prince Harry on day two of the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park, Ascot.
Sunday’s VIP guest list included Hollywoood actors Chris Hemsworth, Clive Owen, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
On Saturday the star-studded attendees included Samuel L Jackson, Tom Hardy and Gemma Arteton.
Guests were also treated to a set by the platinum-selling artist, John Newman.
The Audi Polo challenges supported three charities – Child Bereavement UK, RFU Injured Players Foundation and Sentebale.
The annual occasion has raised more than £1.7 million over the last decade for various charities supported by the royal brothers.
