Fifteen days in and the struggle for food is real on the island.
The men are surviving on less than 300 calories a day and the lack of food is getting to them – as is the laziness of website designer Kyle, who seems to be giving himself a pedicure every time the camera pans to him.
And if all that drama’s not enough, tonight’s episode has left us with a few questions we want answered.
1. How is Vic still so upbeat?
How in the world, after two weeks of relentless rain, hunger and annoying people is Vic still so happy and cheerful?
2. How are they surviving on that diet?
We’d be dying without food so how can they be surviving on so little?
3. Why would you stay in the water if there’s a crocodile right there?
This one doesn’t need any explanation: if there’s a crocodile in the water, get out. Simple.
4. Pedicure anyone?
It’s amazing that Kyle felt he could treat himself to a pedicure while everyone else was trying to find food and wood.
5. How on earth did they find the net?
Yep, we’re sceptical too…
6. Why did they keep talking about poo?
Seriously, they spent most of the episode talking about their bowel movements, ew.
7. Did they have to kill the crocodile?
The issue was widely reported in the press ahead of tonight’s episode – with the papers quoting a Channel 4 statement which read: “This was a genuine and regrettable error. Prior to filming, experts were consulted to ascertain species on both islands and the American crocodile was not known to be in the area of the island.
“The relevant national environment agency are aware of the incident and have granted a licence to replace the animal, which has now been done.”
