Bradley Cooper could be making his directorial debut with a remake of Hollywood classic A Star Is Born.
The Oscar-nominated heartthrob is in negotiations with Warner Bros to helm a new spin on the tale of an ageing, alcoholic film star who helps a young singer and actress find fame.
And according to Deadline, it is hoped Beyonce will agree to star in the film, as she was previously attached to the project when Clint Eastwood was in line to direct.
Beyonce has not yet been formerly re-approached.
A Star Is Born was first made in 1937 by William Wellman, starring Fredrick March and Janet Gaynor.
It was famously remade in 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason in the lead roles, and again in 1976 with Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand.
Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale have all been linked to the remake in recent years.
