Will Ferrell has got the seal of approval with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The actor’s co-stars, including Step Brothers actor John C. Reilly and Saturday Night Live’s Molly Shannon and his family, turned up to support the comedy star.
“I’m still waiting for the mayor of show business to show up and kick me out of the formal party because I’m wearing a leisure suit,” Variety quoted the Anchorman actor as saying.
“Comedians don’t get a lot of awards, so this is really nice.”
He also thanked his three sons, his wife and his fans and joked that he couldn’t accept the award so it had to be “covered up”.
Will, who has over 40 movie credits, has also turned to producing in recent years.
He’s next set to star in Zeroville with James Franco, a film about a young actor arrives in Hollywood in 1969 during a time of big changes in the industry.
