Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant are teaming up for a biopic about opera singer Florence Foster Jenkins.
The casting announcement comes after rumours that the pair would star in director Stephen Frears' film.
Oscar-winner Meryl will play the New York heiress, who used her wealth to back her opera career from the 1920s to the 1940s despite her lack of talent.
British star Hugh will portray English actor St Clair Bayfield, Florence's manager and partner, who tried to protect her from finding out that she couldn't sing.
Philomena filmmaker Stephen will direct Florence from a script by Nicholas Martin.
The film is currently in pre-production.
