THE Lion King musical certainly lived up to its expectations – and beyond.

With an absolutely amazing set, beautiful costumes and wonderful puppetry this really is a must-see spectacular.

If you’re a fan of the Disney film then you really will love the stage version.

The opening scene brought tears to my eyes with powerful vocals by everybody’s favourite baboon – Rafiki.

Surrounded by perfect percussion, the live show brings a classic kids film to life in a magical way.

The cast of more than 50 actors, singers and dancers have been drawn from across the world for this biggest ever UK touring production of the wonderful and vibrant, award-winning musical.

The well-groomed and energetic felines tell the tale of young lion Simba whose jealous uncle Scar wants to be king.

Dramatic scenes show Nala and the lionesses at their best with beautiful harmonies and dance routines.

And along the way Simba meets the hilarous Timon and Pumba – the funny duo had children and adults laughing out loud.

The amount of energy thrown into every scene makes you laugh, sing and dance in your seat.

But without the giant elephant, giraffes, antelopes the show would not have been as spectacular.

The combination of puppets, masks, costumes and set makes you appreciate every little detail that goes into this very clever production – for a truly amazing show.
