ACCRINGTON town centre dazzled with lights last night after a performance by clubland star Kelly Llorena.
The former N-Trance singer and a host of local performers entertained the crowd before the official switch-on of the town’s Christmas lights.
Schoolchildren Ethan Naisbitt from Accrington and Patrick Batt from Rishton, both 8 years old, helped Hyndburn Mayor Coun Colette McCormack switch on thousands of festive dazzlers.
Afterwards, a firework extravaganza exploded above the Arndale Centre while visitors enjoyed fairground rides and late-night shopping.
The switch-on was hosted by radio station 107 The Bee with support from Level One nightclub.
Deputy leader, Coun Clare Pritchard, said: “It was a fabulous evening with lots of entertainment, fun and fireworks.”
