SCHOOLS from around the Ribble Valley have flocked to take part in the area’s annual sheep fest.
Children have spent the past few weeks making and decorating sheep figures which were on display yesterday on the pathway up to Clitheroe’s Castle Keep.
The free display spilled out on to the streets of Clitheroe and was accompanied by entertainment including morris dancers and music.
Some of this year’s entries were Royal Wedding-inspired, such as Gisburn Primary’s Wooliam and Kaaate.
For the first time the event also featured ‘a sheep showdown’ and sheep race finale.
