THE Way Of The Samurai series has never fully sparked into life, so this fourth attempt must be seen as something of a last chance saloon.

Set just after Japan opened its borders to the West in 1853, you’re tossed into a world of opportunity and uncertainty as a masterless samurai looking to make a name for yourself.

You take command of the customisation, exploration and action gameplay options to rise to the upper echelons of your chosen faction.

If you’re looking for a one-sentence summary of the game, you could probably point to this game as a low-budget, GTA-style Samurai adventure. It’s got a big sense of humour, but numerous bugs are present.
