TECHNOLOGY is taking over the majority of things, but I wasn’t prepared when Little Howard landed at Burnley Mechanics this half term and took over the theatre.

With a silly and very funny relationship between Big Howard and his cartoon sidekick, Little Howard, I must admit I was blown away by the interaction between the duo and the audience.

Little Howard, is a six-year-old cartoon character projected on screen, who aims to defeat the cartoon of death, who wants to rub him out with a giant pencil.

The performance is interactive, clever and technical, something that I haven’t seen before and luckily the adults had as many laughs as the children.

The two Howards have appeared on children’s channel CBBC, and according to my five-year-old, the theatre production was better.

Children had the chance to become a cartoon too, when Big Howard drew them to become on screen friends for Little Howard, we even had chance to wear 3D glasses to bring the cheeky chappy to life.

More fun includes a live game of Guess Who and a tricky game of catch.

I will certainly be keeping my eyes open for the next performance from these two as, whether you like gadgets or not, this is one to see.
