Lancashire Telegraph review by Vicky Cosgrove from February 1, 2010.

THIS is a relatively new restaurant which has just opened up in Blackburn town centre.

Our table was positioned right in front of a full-length mirror. The girls in the party, including myself, were not very happy with the fact we had to stare into it all night as we ate. It seemed wherever we sat we could see ourselves in the huge mirror.

We started with fresh bread, served with balsamic vinegar and olive oil and a bowl of olives. The olives came with a hint of garlic and were delicious, but the bread was not warm as stated on the menu.

Our drinks arrived at the table after the starters had been served and the waiter forgot to bring one of them. When it hadn’t arrived 10 minutes later we had to remind him.

For main we went for a chicken burger with tikka sauce and chips, a sirloin steak served with bearnaise sauce and chips and salmon skewers served with rice. The salmon arrived with chips and when my friend asked about the rice the waiter did not seem to know. Ten minutes later the rice arrived, but by this time the rest of the meal had gone cold. The steak was juicy and tender and the chips were chunky and crispy.

The chicken on the burger was very tasty and well cooked but the bun was very hard.

Overall we weren't very impressed. Just over £40 for a meal which we didn't enjoy was very expensive.
