Lancashire Telegraph review by Caroline Dutton from July 18, 2009.
Sshh, don't tell anyone but I’ve found a secret little haven in Blackburn that offers good food, good service — and at great prices.
Cinnamon, in Regent Street, is a bit off the beaten track, but it’s worth the walk, if only for the mellow ambience.
Two of us headed over during a particularly hectic work day, looking to grab a quick bite to eat, which hopefully wouldn't break the bank.
Upon walking into Cinnamon, with its atmospheric Bollywood-style music playing in the background, we agreed our tension had melted away.
But perhaps the best thing about Cinnamon is the price list.
I had a gigantic chicken baguette for £3 and my friend had a cheese, onion and tomato toasted ciabatta for the same.
We shared a plate of curly fries at £1.10 and with a drink each the bill came to just over £8.
The same order at any of Blackburn's other eating establishments would surely been closer to £15.
We left fed, watered, and refreshed. Cinnamon is one of Blackburn's best-kept secrets... but maybe not for long.
