HURST Green Village Hall continues to punch well above its weight in terms of music events coming to the Ribble Valley.

Following sold out shows from Midge Ure and an album showcase from Dodgy, next weekend will see two more respected names heading to the venue.

Next Friday Nick Harper, considered one of the greats in acoustic music, will be playing live.

Once dubbed ‘the acoustic Hendrix’, Harper is one of the most talented singer/ songwriters around and is the son of folk music legend Roy Harper.

Special guest for the evening is Tom Metcalfe, from Preston.

Then next Saturday night Ian Prowse stops off in Hurst Green as part of his Who Loves Ya Baby UK tour promoting his new solo album.

One of John Peel’s favourite artists, Prowse is best known for his work with the bands Amsterdam and Pele.

A consummate live performer whose ready wit is never far from the surface it promises to be a show to remember.

Guests for the evening are award-winning Ribble Valley acoustic duo The Remedy.

Tickets for each show are £10 in advance and are available via ticketweb.co.uk
