Rosemary suffers from arthritis.
The pain kept her awake at night!
Emanating from a knuckle in the right hand,
Saw the doctor. Could he put it right?

Saw a specialist, who examined the finger,
Who told her without any doubt
Her finger bent, needed a knuckle replacement.
The old worn part would have to come out!

Well! The operation went well, with one slight blemish!
A new knuckle renewed in her hand,
And after a while the pain relented!
Arthritis gone! It was grand!

The only thing she would have to put up with,
Her finger would have to be straight!
Wouldn't bend, didn't mind that much,
It was one of those things (Call it fate!)

The local cricket league called her.
Well the game, knew little about that!
But they urged her on, said when she'd learnt to umpire
Would be helpful when judging How's that!'
