By Sheila Brennan.

Once more the rain is falling
Everything is dull and drear
How we long to feel the sunshine
Wishing summer days were here.
You will find a shining moment
That lifts your spirits high
A glimpse of dappled sunlight
Birds soaring in the sky
Stars so bright reflections in pools
Catch the eye like flashing jewels
Such joys as these are gems
That shine out clear and true
Just stop, look and enjoy them
They're gifts for me and you.
